Fire and ASH

Ashley is featured as a chorister on the original motion picture soundtrack for James Cameron’s Avatar: Fire and Ash, with music composed by Simon Franglen. He joined a distinguished roster of Los Angeles vocalists for the film’s expansive score, contributing to the choral sound of the latest chapter in the Avatar saga. Ashley is listed among the choir personnel in the film’s music credits.

The recording sessions took place at the historic Newman Scoring Stage at 20th Century Studios, where the score was recorded across an extensive series of sessions. The Los Angeles choir was contracted by renowned choir contractor Edie Lehmann Boddicker.

The project marks another major screen and recording credit for Ashley, whose work continues to span opera, concert performance, contemporary music, and film. Through the Avatar sessions, he joined some of Los Angeles’ leading professional singers in contributing to one of cinema’s most ambitious contemporary musical worlds.
