New Premiere Recording
Ashley performs the role of Korey Wise on the world premiere recording of Anthony Davis and Richard Wesley’s acclaimed opera The Central Park Five. Released by Long Beach Opera, the recording documents Davis’s powerful retelling of the story of the five Black and Latino teenagers wrongfully convicted in the 1989 Central Park jogger case. Faatoalia appears as a Principal Artist in the role of Korey Wise, whose story became one of the opera’s most emotionally resonant threads.
