Ashley joins the Santa Rosa Symphony for Carl Orff’s monumental Carmina Burana, appearing as the tenor soloist in one of the repertoire’s most colorful and demanding moments: “Olim lacus colueram,” the famous Roasted Swan solo. Sung from the perspective of a swan lamenting its fate as dinner, the virtuosic aria is a theatrical tour de force—equal parts comic, grotesque, and exhilarating. Ashley performs alongside soprano Caroline Corrales, baritone Gabriel Natal-Báez, the Santa Rosa Symphony Chorus, and the Young Women’s Chorus of San Francisco under the direction of Francesco Lecce-Chong at Weill Hall.Get more details here
